CIRCULAR NOTICE.
NO. 32 of 1937.
Provisional regulations governing navigation of
merchant vessels in and out of Bocca Tigris.
The following Provisional Regulations have been
issued by the Chinese Authorities:
1. Area through which pilots must be employed:
From Sampanchow to Tiger Island and vice versa
(a) Inward bound vessels are to stop at Sampanchow,
hoist the pilot signal and wait for a pilot to
board before proceeding.
(b) Outward bound vessels are to stop at Tiger
Island, hoist the pilot signal and wait for a
pilot before proceeding.

Time open for navigation:
From 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily, Sundays excepted.
These hours must be strictly adhered to.
3. Point for transhipment:

Vessels on reaching Tiger Island are to anchor
and not to proceed. At that point launches or
other transhipment vessels are to be employed to
convey passengers and cargo between Tiger Islan
and Canton.
Draught of transhipment vessels:
Transhipment vessels must not draw over 7 feat of
water and must abide by the specified navigation
route.

Navigation route for transhipment vessels:
The route to be taken is limited to the S.W. side
of Bedingfield Point, Taisha Island, Lat. 220
